This 6 Light Chandelier is the largest design in the Spyre collection, with a cluster of twisting, hand hammered steel arms in a deep Metallic Matte Bronze finish. Metallic Matte Bronze finish

The Metallic Matte Bronze finish is applied by hand across every arm, building the same irregular, artisanal texture found throughout the Spyre range, in a darker, more grounded tone than the rest of the collection. Because the finish is hand applied, colour can vary slightly from piece to piece, and it may look a shade different on screen to how it appears in person. It suits richer, more traditional colour schemes and pairs well with warm woods and aged metals.

How it works

This chandelier takes 6 x E14 LED bulbs, which are not supplied, so you will need to add these to your order. It is dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It is rated Class I, which means it must be earthed.

Where it works best

Its scale and darker finish suit dining rooms, hallways and kitchen islands with warmer, more traditional colour schemes, where its texture and size can really stand out. It also works well above a living room or bedroom seating area with high ceilings, given how far the drop can extend.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley began in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just fourteen products. This 6 Light Chandelier, the largest design in the Spyre collection with a drop that can stretch past three metres, shows how far that range has grown since. The Wiedemer family has run the company since Stanley Wiedemer bought it outright in 1937, continuing through Rick Wiedemer Jr, who joined in 1969 for a fifty year career, and the fourth generation, Kristi, Jess and Eric Wiedemer, who began taking on leadership from around 2000. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK and Europe, converting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.
