An island light with real span
The Hinkley Rigby 3 Light Island Chandelier takes the same American barn light look as the single Rigby pendant and stretches it across three lights on one fitting, built to run the length of a kitchen island or a long dining table. This is also a genuinely large fixture: a width of 101.6cm and a drop that adjusts from 40.4cm to 101.5cm. Please check these measurements against your space before ordering.
Buckeye Bronze finish
Rigby's two tone Buckeye Bronze finish is warm and slightly weathered, built from meshed and mild steel. Cast socket covers and mesh shades run along the length of the fitting, carrying the same vintage industrial character as the rest of the Rigby range. It suits kitchens and dining spaces with an industrial, rustic or transitional feel, and pairs well with dark worktops, timber and other aged metal finishes.
How it works
Three lamp holders sit inside their own mesh shades along the fitting, spreading light evenly along a run rather than in one pool below a single point. It takes 3 x E27 bulbs, LED recommended, and these aren't included so you'll need to add your own. Rigby is rated Class I. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

The story behind Hinkley
Hinkley has been making lighting since 1922, when Phil R. Hinkley started the company in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just fourteen outdoor lanterns. The Wiedemer family took over not long after, when Stanley Wiedemer bought into the business in the 1930s and then bought it outright when Phil died in 1937, moving his own family from Kansas City to Cleveland to run it. His grandson Rick Wiedemer Jr joined in 1969 for a career that spanned fifty years, and by around 2000 a fourth generation, Kristi, Jess and Eric Wiedemer, had begun taking on leadership roles themselves. In 2019, the company expanded into ceiling fans and simplified its name from Hinkley Lighting to just Hinkley, a broadening of range that fittings like Rigby, with its industrial mesh and cast detailing, sit comfortably within. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK, converting fittings such as this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.
