The Mayflower 3 Light Semi-Flush takes the bold, traditional look of the wider Mayflower collection and fits it close to the ceiling, for rooms where a hanging pendant or chandelier would sit too low. It keeps the Olde Bronze finish, etched amber glass and cast tension knob detailing of the range, in a compact semi-flush profile measuring 38.1cm across and 30.5cm high.

The mild steel frame is finished in Olde Bronze, giving it a warm, slightly aged tone that sits well against wood, brass and other traditional finishes. Inside, the etched amber glass softens the light and adds a warm glow, while the cast tension knob detailing echoes the collection's early American styling.

How it works

This fitting takes three E14 bulbs, which are not included so you will need to add these to your order. It is dimmable if you use dimmable bulbs. The fitting is Class I, which means it requires an earthed connection. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley began in 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio, when Phil R. Hinkley started out making outdoor lanterns, with a debut catalogue of just fourteen products. After Phil died in 1937, Stanley Wiedemer, who had already bought into the business, took full ownership and moved his family to Cleveland to run the company. The Mayflower collection's traditional, early American detailing, seen here in the etched amber glass and cast tension knob, reflects that same longstanding sensibility the brand built its name on. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has adapted Hinkley's designs, including this semi-flush fitting, for the UK market with 220 to 240V wiring and full CE certification.
