The Hinkley Jules 2 Light Wall Light takes the same repeating stamped oval design as the Jules pendant and brings it to the wall, finished in a cool brushed nickel that catches the light along its surface. It's a two light fitting, so it gives more presence than a single sconce wherever it's fitted, whether that's a hallway, a bedroom or either side of a mirror.

The frame is steel, finished in brushed nickel for a soft, contemporary sheen rather than a hard mirror shine. A linen diffuser sits within the stamped oval pattern, softening the light as it passes through rather than leaving the bulbs exposed. Together the metal and fabric give Jules a warmer feel than a purely metal design, and this brushed nickel finish pairs naturally with the matching Jules pendant for a coordinated scheme.

How it works

Jules takes two E14 LED bulbs, which aren't included, so you'll need to add these when you order. The fitting is dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs. It's wired to Class I standards, which means it needs to be earthed. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

As a two light wall fitting, Jules suits hallways, living rooms, dining rooms and either side of a bed, anywhere a wall light with some visual weight is wanted rather than a plain design.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, when Phil R. Hinkley put together a debut catalogue of just 14 products. Jules sits a long way from that original range, a pattern led, contemporary design rather than a traditional lantern, but it's shaped by the same family run business. Stanley Wiedemer bought the company outright in 1937 and moved his family to Cleveland to run it, and his descendants, now in their fourth generation, still lead Hinkley today. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has adapted designs like this brushed nickel Jules wall light for UK wiring and full CE certification.
