A smaller brass duo mount for softer light

This is the smaller size in the Hinkley Graham range, a three light fitting finished in Lacquered Brass. Its duo mount frame works two ways: hang it as a pendant on the rods provided, or remove them so it sits close to the ceiling as a semi flush light. That flexibility makes it a good fit for rooms with lower ceilings, or anywhere a full pendant drop would sit too low.

Lacquered brass and polycotton

The welded frame is finished in Lacquered Brass, a warm brass tone with a lacquer seal that resists tarnishing over time. Two polycotton shades sit around the light source and soften it to a gentle glow rather than a direct beam. The warm brass and pale fabric shades pair well with other brass fittings, timber furniture and warm metal accents in the same room.

How it works

The fitting takes 3 x E14 bulbs, which are not included, so you will need to add your own when you order. It is dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs. This is a Class I fitting, which means it must be properly earthed during installation. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Where it works best

Its warm Lacquered Brass tone and compact frame suit bedrooms, hallways, dining areas, living rooms and stairwells, particularly where a softer alternative to a plain metal finish is wanted. Set up as a semi flush fitting, it also works well over stairs or in rooms with lower ceilings where a full pendant drop is not practical.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started small. Phil R. Hinkley founded the company in Cleveland, Ohio in 1922, with a debut catalogue of just fourteen outdoor lantern designs. The Wiedemer family has run the business since Stanley Wiedemer, a travelling salesman from Kansas City, bought the company outright in 1937, and four generations of that family have shaped it since, from Stanley's grandson Rick joining in 1969 through to Kristi, Jess and Eric Wiedemer taking on leadership roles around 2000. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has adapted Hinkley's designs for UK homes, converting fittings like this duo mount to 220 to 240V wiring and securing full CE certification. This smaller Lacquered Brass Graham is a recent example of that journey, designed in Cleveland and wired for British homes.

Can this light be used as a semi flush fitting? Yes. Remove the pendant rods and the Duo Mount sits close to the ceiling as a semi flush light, at a height of around 35.9cm.

Are bulbs included? No. This fitting takes 3 x E14 bulbs, which are not supplied, so you will need to add your own when you order.

Is this light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 bulbs. Standard, non dimmable bulbs will not allow the fitting to dim.

Can I install this light myself? We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It is a Class I fitting and must be properly earthed during installation.

Does the Graham Duo Mount come in other sizes or finishes? Yes. This is the smaller size in the Graham range, and Hinkley also makes a larger duo mount size in a range of other finishes.
