This single Casa wall light brings the collection's wrought iron detailing indoors. Twisted ironwork, hand forged scrollwork and a clear seeded glass shade give it a handcrafted, rustic character, built as an interior wall light rather than an outdoor lantern.

The aluminium frame is finished in Olde Black, with twisted ironwork and scrollwork adding plenty of texture. The clear seeded glass shade diffuses the light gently and keeps that handcrafted feel. It pairs naturally with dark wood, stone and other traditional, wrought iron finishes.

How it works

This is a single bulb wall light that takes one E27 LED bulb, which isn't included, so you'll need to add one to your order. It's dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs. It fixes directly to an interior wall. This fitting is wired to Class I, which means it needs to be earthed. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley began in 1922 when Phil R. Hinkley started out making outdoor lanterns in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just 14 products. The Wiedemer family took over in the 1930s, first when Stanley Wiedemer bought half the business, then all of it after Phil's death in 1937, and the company has stayed family run ever since, carried on by a third and then a fourth generation of Wiedemers. That same attention to detail runs through the Casa collection, from its wrought iron wall lanterns to this smaller piece, which trades the outdoor lantern form for something suited to an indoor wall in a kitchen or dining room. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK and Europe, converting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.
