Harte Vintage Tear Drop 0.98m Pier Light For Flat Piers - Cast Iron, Steel & Copper Head

The tallest of Harte's flat pier lights, at 0.98 metres, this version adds a copper head to the cast iron and steel body, a genuine material contrast rather than a paint option, within the Vintage Tear Drop range.

Cast iron, steel and a copper head

The base and arm are cast iron and galvanised steel, finished in gloss black, while the head is formed in copper and left unpainted in its natural tone. Harte's guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions covers the cast iron and steel elements; the copper head, like all of Harte's copper components, sits outside that guarantee.

How it works

Light diffuses through a clear polycarbonate lens in the tear drop head, and a flat base plate lets the fixture sit flush on a flat topped pier. It requires a mains wiring connection, best fitted and connected by a qualified electrician.

Suited to larger flat topped piers, this taller light with its copper head suits an entrance meant to make an impression, whether a long driveway or a more formal front boundary.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

This pier light comes from Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, founded by Willie Harte in 1983 and now run by Liz Harte and the next generation, including Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, alongside private estates and gardens across Ireland and the UK.
