Harte Victorian 0.4m Traditional Pier Light For Flat Pier Caps - Cast Iron

This 0.4 metre pier light is built for flat topped entrance piers, a compact fitting that sits centrally on the pier cap rather than to one side. It is part of the Traditional range within Harte's Heritage collection, taking its styling from original Victorian lantern design.

Cast iron and steel construction

The lantern is cast in iron, mounted on a galvanised steel disc 0.17 metres in diameter sized for flat pier tops. It is glazed with hand cut glass and fitted with an E27 bulb holder, finished in the standard gloss black with other colours available on request.

How it works

Sitting flat on top of the pier, the light throws an even spread around the entrance rather than favouring one side, useful where the pier marks a gateway or driveway entrance that is approached from more than one direction.

Where it works best

Use this size on smaller or narrower entrance piers with flat caps, at gateways, garden walls or driveway entrances. Where the pier top is chamfered or too narrow for this disc, Harte's smaller pier lights in this range use a narrower mounting disc.

Harte Outdoor Lighting has cast and finished iron and steel lighting at its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983.
