It is dimmable, provided you fit a dimmable bulb and use it with a suitable dimmer switch. The Class I electrical rating means an earth connection is required when installing it. Rated IP20, it is intended for dry indoor rooms only, so keep it away from bathrooms or anywhere prone to condensation.
