A Straightforward Brass Ceiling Light
This is a no nonsense ceiling fitting in polished brass that doesn't try to make a statement. It mounts flush and sits neatly out of the way, letting your walls and furnishings take the visual lead while you get clean, reliable light overhead.
Choosing Your Finish
The polished brass finish is bright and warm, catching light without being flashy. If you prefer something cooler or more muted, this same fitting comes in antique brass for a warmer, aged tone, plus nickel and black options across the Grove range.
How It Works
One E27 lamp holder takes LED bulbs up to 20W and responds to dimming when you use dimmable bulbs with a compatible dimmer. The Class I wiring requires an earth connection, which an electrician will sort during installation. IP20 protection means it's rated for dry indoor areas only.
Where It Works Best
This fitting is at home in hallways, corridors and other spaces where functional overhead light matters more than design impact. The small footprint and simple profile work equally well in period cottages or contemporary homes, depending on which brass finish you choose.
Design Details
The brass is applied over a cast iron base, creating a durable piece that will weather use. The polish on this version keeps it brighter than the antique brass variant, giving it a slightly more contemporary feel while staying warm in tone.

Questions People Ask
What's the difference between this brass and the antique brass version?
The antique brass has a slightly aged, darkened patina that sits warmer visually. This one is polished brighter, so it catches more light and reads as more contemporary.
How hard is it to install?
It's a straightforward flush fit, but because it's Class I it needs an earth wire connecting during installation. Get a qualified electrician to do it safely.
Can I use warm white and cool white bulbs?
Yes. Either will work fine with the brass, though warm white tends to complement the gold tone more naturally than cool white.
