The Zarzuela is GlammFire's fire pit built for real wood fires and long evenings outdoors, combining a solid cement structure with the option of lacquered carbon steel benches built into the same footprint. It is designed to be the centre of a garden or terrace, not just a heat source at the edge of it.

A fire pit that doubles as furniture

The Zarzuela's wide ledge runs around the fire, wide enough to rest drinks, plates or a board game on, so the piece works as a low table when the fire is not lit as well as a gathering point when it is. The optional lacquered carbon steel benches sit around the same structure, turning the Zarzuela into a complete outdoor seating area built around a single fire pit rather than a fire pit that needs separate furniture arranged around it.

How it works

This version of the Zarzuela is fitted with a firewood burner, so it burns real logs rather than bioethanol or gas, giving the crackle, scent and larger flame of a genuine wood fire. Firewood is not included and the product images that show the fire pit with logs in place are for illustration only. As with any wood burning fire pit, it should be sited away from overhanging branches, structures and boundaries in line with the specification and local guidance.

The Zarzuela suits gardens, terraces and outdoor entertaining spaces where a real wood fire and a social seating area are wanted together, from private gardens to hotel grounds and restaurant terraces.

Handcrafted in Portugal

GlammFire designs and builds the Zarzuela by hand at its factory in Monção, Portugal, where the brand has manufactured luxury fireplaces since 2008. GlammFire states that every unit is tested and quality checked before it leaves the factory as part of a manufacturing process it says is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

• The cement fire pit body measures approximately 1500mm in diameter and 461mm in height, with a weight of around 600kg. The optional lacquered carbon steel benches measure approximately 1950 x 520 x 407mm each.
• GlammFire offers an optional protective cover for the Zarzuela, to help protect the cement structure when the fire pit is not in use.

Questions People Ask

Can the Zarzuela be used with charcoal instead of firewood?
This version is fitted specifically for firewood. GlammFire also offers Zarzuela versions set up for bioethanol or gas, if a different fuel type is preferred.

Are the benches included as standard?
No. The lacquered carbon steel benches are an optional addition to the Zarzuela's cement structure, rather than a fitted part of every configuration.

How should the Zarzuela be looked after?
Since it burns real wood, the fire bowl should be cleared of ash and residue between uses. GlammFire also offers an optional protective cover to help keep the cement structure clean and dry when not in use.
