Glammfire Mileto Bioethanol Fire Pit - Black Lacquered Steel

The Mileto is one of GlammFire's sculptural fire pits, drawn from the pure geometry of a circle and built around an automatic bioethanol burner rather than an open bonfire. It sits as a freestanding, self contained piece, equally at home as an outdoor centrepiece or an indoor statement fire, depending on how it is specified.

A circle that dances

The Mileto's design allows the burner to rotate, so the flame does not sit still the way a fire in a fixed hearth does. As it turns, the fire seems to move around the circular form, creating shifting light and shadow across the black lacquered steel body. It is built to be watched as much as it is built to give warmth.

How it works

Like the rest of GlammFire's Crea7ion range, the Mileto burns liquid bioethanol automatically rather than requiring the fuel to be lit and topped up by hand. Bioethanol burns cleanly, producing only heat, water vapour and carbon dioxide, and needs no chimney, flue or gas connection, which is what allows a sculptural, freestanding piece like this to be placed almost anywhere a flat, stable surface and good ventilation are available.

Where it works best

The Mileto suits gardens, terraces, courtyards and covered outdoor entertaining areas, as well as large open plan interiors, hotel terraces and architectural showrooms where a striking, sculptural fire is the goal rather than a traditional hearth. Its black lacquered finish gives it a graphic, contemporary presence against stone, timber decking, or a minimalist garden design.

Handcrafted in Portugal

GlammFire designs and builds the Mileto by hand at its factory in Monção, Portugal, where the brand has manufactured luxury fireplaces since 2008. GlammFire states that every unit is tested and quality checked before it leaves the factory as part of a manufacturing process it says is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
