The Apollo is GlammFire's sophisticated wall mounted fire, built as a clean, rectangular line of flame that turns a plain wall into a modern focal point without the bulk of a traditional fireplace. In rusted Corten steel, it takes on a raw, industrial character that sets it apart from the brand's smoother, lacquered finishes.

A finish with texture

Corten steel develops a naturally oxidised, rust toned surface over time, giving the Apollo a weathered, tactile quality that pairs well with industrial interiors, exposed brick, concrete and reclaimed timber. It works as a warm, earthy counterpoint in an otherwise neutral or minimalist room.

How it works

The Apollo runs on GlammFire's Crea7ionEVOplus automatic bioethanol burner system, which manages ignition and fuel intake without the need to light or top up the flame by hand. Because it burns clean burning liquid bioethanol, there is no chimney, flue or gas connection to install, only a properly ventilated room to plan for.

Where it works best

The Apollo suits contemporary living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and hospitality interiors where a modern, daring style is wanted without the scale or cost of a full chimney breast fireplace. The Corten finish in particular suits industrial loft conversions and interiors built around natural, weathered materials.

Handmade in Portugal

GlammFire builds the Apollo by hand at its factory in Monção, Portugal, where the brand has manufactured luxury fireplaces since 2008. GlammFire states that every unit is tested and quality checked before dispatch, as part of a manufacturing process it says is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Does the Corten Apollo need a chimney or flue?
No. It burns liquid bioethanol rather than gas or wood, so there is no chimney, flue or gas connection to fit, only a properly ventilated room of the size GlammFire specifies.

How does the automatic Crea7ionEVOplus burner work day to day?
Ignition, flame height and fuel intake are all managed through the display or the supplied remote control, rather than being lit or topped up by hand as with GlammFire's manual burner.

Will the rust toned finish keep changing once it is installed?
Corten steel continues to oxidise gradually over time, so the exact tone of the surface can keep developing and settling after the fireplace is mounted.
