Gin Small carries over the smoked drum shade and glowing centre square of the wider Gin range, built onto a shorter black stem sized for a nightstand rather than a sideboard. It keeps the same considered, contemporary look in a footprint that suits smaller surfaces.

Choosing Your Finish

In black, the stem and base echo the smoked tone of the shade for a compact, monochrome piece. Gin Small currently comes in this black finish, and sits alongside the larger Gin Large lamps in the same collection if you want a matching taller piece elsewhere in the room.

How It Works

Gin Small takes a single GU10 lamp rated up to 12W, sold separately so you can choose the exact warmth and brightness you prefer. It is dimmable provided you fit a dimmable GU10 lamp and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, with power controlled through an inline switch on the base. The fitting is Class II double insulated.

Where It Works Best

At 25cm tall and 22cm across, and considerably lighter than Gin Large at 2.7kg, this size suits a bedside table, a small side table or a compact desk far better than a large console. It fits the room list well: bedroom, hallway, kitchen or office, anywhere the larger Gin would simply be too much lamp.

Mantra was set up in Valencia in 2000 to make designer lighting affordable rather than exclusive, and has kept developing its ranges every year since, with the 2026 collection spanning decorative, technical, outdoor and ventilation products.
