A Bold Blue Silhouette

The Hockley pendant is a large, cone shaped light with a confident, sculptural shape. Hand spun from solid copper, it has real weight in the hand and a smooth, continuous curve running from the narrow top to the wide open base, giving it a strong presence wherever it hangs.

The Upstream Finish

This particular Hockley is finished in Upstream, a deep, river toned blue that covers the whole outside of the shade in a soft, matte layer. Inside, the shade is lined in a glossy white that helps the light bounce and spread evenly downward, with a slim band of natural copper left exposed at the rim where the two finishes meet.

• Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose, 120mm in diameter, plus all necessary fixings
• 1.5m of black fabric cable provided as standard
• Shade measures 510mm in diameter and 290mm in height
• Takes one LED bulb, 6W maximum, E27 fitting (bulb not supplied)
• Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb

Where It Works Best

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. That same hand spinning process is what shapes this Hockley's copper shade before the Upstream finish is applied.
