The Flock Matt White Finish

This edition of the Hockley is hand spun from solid copper, then finished in Flock, a chalky matt white with a soft, gentle sheen rather than a bright gloss. A slim band of natural copper is left exposed around the inner rim of the shade, giving a warm glint of contrast against the pale exterior and a hint of the metal underneath.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, and the Hockley's hand spun copper shade carries that same hands on approach through to a contemporary matt white finish.
