A Bold Cone Silhouette With a Reflective Finish
The Hockley pendant is a striking, cone shaped light with a wide flared shade that throws a strong, even pool of light below it. Its simple geometric shape and generous scale mean it holds its own as a single fitting over a table or island, or works well repeated in a row or a cluster of two or three.
Solid Copper With a Glossy Finish
This version of the Hockley is made from solid copper, left with a bright, reflective finish that catches the light across its smooth conical surface. Inside, the shade is finished in white gloss, which bounces the light back down and out for a clean, even spread rather than a single hot spot.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired, with a matching copper ceiling rose and all necessary fixings included.
- Fitted with 1.5m of black fabric cable as standard, so the drop height can be adjusted to suit the room.
- Takes one LED bulb with an E27 fitting, 6W maximum. The bulb is not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- The shade measures 510mm across and 290mm high, with a ceiling rose 120mm in diameter.
Where It Works Best
The Hockley's wide, downward throw of light suits spots where you want a strong, focused pool of light rather than a soft ambient glow. Hang it low over a kitchen island or dining table, use it as a single statement piece in a hallway, or group two or three together over a run of worktop or a long table in the living room.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, in Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The same hot forging skills the workshop applies to its brass and copper hardware go into shaping the solid copper shade of the Hockley.
