The Hockley pendant takes a simple cone shape and gives it real presence. Hand spun from solid copper, it hangs on a slim black cable and throws a wide, even pool of light onto the room below. It is a shade built to be noticed without shouting.

The Bluff Finish

This version is finished in Bluff, a soft, warm grey with a glossy sheen that shifts gently as the light catches it. The rim is left in natural copper, giving a fine metallic edge where the grey meets the bright white gloss interior. Together they make a fitting that feels calm and considered rather than showy.

• Takes one LED bulb, 6W maximum, E27 fitting (bulb not included).
• Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
• Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all necessary fixings.
• 1.5m of black fabric cable included as standard.
• Shade measures 510mm in diameter and 290mm in height, with a 120mm diameter ceiling rose.

Its scale suits a kitchen island or a dining table, where one pendant can anchor the whole space. It also earns its place in a hallway or living room, especially where the warm grey tone can pick up other neutrals already in the room. From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, and the Hockley pendant's hand spun copper shade carries that same hands on craft into a simple, contemporary shape.
