A Bold Cone Shaped Pendant With a Copper Edge
The Hockley pendant is a large, single cone shaped light with a wide, sweeping shade. Hand spun from solid copper, it keeps a narrow band of bare copper showing along the rim, a detail that catches the eye even when the light is off.
Finished in Birch
This version is finished in Birch, a pale, cool grey with a soft gloss sheen. The colour sits smoothly over the copper shade, and the underside is left white to help spread the light evenly, while the copper rim stays exposed as a warm contrast against the grey.
How It Works
- Single pendant light, hand spun from solid copper and finished in Birch.
- Shade measures 510mm in diameter and 290mm high, with a 120mm diameter ceiling rose.
- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose, 1.5m of black fabric cable and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.

From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, and this Hockley pendant's copper shade is spun and finished there by hand before it ever reaches Birch's pale grey coat.

Why can I see copper on a pendant that's painted grey?
The Hockley shade is hand spun from solid copper, and the rim is left uncoated on purpose, so a narrow band of the copper shows through around the edge of the Birch finish.
Is this pendant dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb won't allow the light to be dimmed even with a compatible dimmer switch.
What bulb does the Hockley pendant need?
