A Dome Shape With Warehouse Roots
The Harborne pendant takes its cue from old factory lighting, with a deep rounded dome that throws light straight down and out. It has a solid, substantial feel that suits both period cottages and newer open plan kitchens.
The Slate Finish
This one is finished in Slate, a cool mid grey that sits somewhere between charcoal and stone. It is spun from solid copper, then finished in a smooth painted slate grey on the outside. Inside, a glossy white enamel lines the dome to bounce light evenly around the room, with a slim copper trim marking the join between the two finishes.
How It Works
- Comes complete with one Harborne pendant shade, a matching ceiling rose and 1.5m of black fabric cable as standard.
- All necessary fixings are included for ceiling mounting.
- Takes one LED bulb, 6W maximum, E27 fitting (bulb not included).
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Not supplied with an integrated LED, so you can choose your own bulb and colour temperature.
Where It Works Best
Hung low over a dining table or kitchen island, the wide dome throws a strong pool of light across the surface below. It also works well in a living room reading corner, or grouped along a hallway for a run of matching pendants.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Harborne pendant carries on that hands on approach, each dome individually spun from copper before it takes on its Slate finish.
