The Brindley pendant is a single hand spun dome light with a compact, classic shape that suits a period home just as easily as a newly built one. Finished in Teasel, a warm off white with a glossy sheen, it keeps a narrow band of its copper base showing at the rim, so the shade reads pale and soft from the side and warm and metallic from underneath once it's lit.

Each shade starts as a single sheet of solid copper, spun into its rounded dome shape before being finished in a glossy Teasel coating. The rim is left in bare copper rather than coated over, so the warm metal shows through as a thin ring around the opening, while the white enamelled interior helps the light spread evenly once a bulb is fitted.

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Teasel Brindley pendant carries that same copper forging through to its finish, spun and coated by hand at the same Welsh workshop.

Is the Brindley pendant dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't allow the light to be dimmed even with a compatible dimmer switch.
