From The Anvil Smooth Nickel Hockley Pendant - Upstream (Blue)

The Hockley pendant brings a bold, cone shaped silhouette into a room, and this version pairs a polished nickel interior with a deep, river toned Upstream blue on the outside. It has real presence hung low over an island, or grouped together in a cluster for extra drama.

The Nickel and Upstream Blue Finish

This pendant is made from solid brass and hand finished at the workshop. The outside is coated in a matte, deep blue called Upstream, while the inside keeps a smooth, polished nickel surface. Once a bulb is lit, that nickel interior reflects the light back down in a clean, even glow, and gives a nice contrast against the flat blue exterior.

Where It Works Best

With a 510mm diameter shade, this pendant makes the biggest impact where there is room for it to hang properly, such as over a kitchen island or above a dining table. It also works well as a single striking drop in a hallway, or brought into a living room where a bold splash of colour is welcome.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Hockley pendant is finished by hand at that same workshop, its solid brass base given both the smooth nickel interior and the Upstream blue exterior before it ever leaves Wales.
