A Pale Grey Shade With a Polished Nickel Interior

The outer surface is finished in Birch, a muted, matte pale grey. Turn the shade over and the inside is lined in polished nickel, which throws light back down in a bright, even pool. That contrast, quiet grey outside and gleaming nickel inside, is what gives this pendant its character. Understated from above, striking from below.

Where It Works Best

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Hockley pendant carries on that same approach, shaped and finished at the Welsh workshop where the brand began.
