From The Anvil Smooth Nickel Hockley Pendant

The Hockley pendant is one of From The Anvil's boldest shapes, a wide angled cone that throws light out and down rather than pooling it under a narrow shade. In smooth nickel it takes on a hard edged, mirror like quality, a world away from a hammered or antique surface.

This version is finished in smooth nickel, plated over solid brass and polished to a bright, reflective shine. There is no texture to catch the eye here, just a clean unbroken surface that picks up light and colour from the room around it. The inside of the shade shares the same bright finish, which helps bounce light back out once the bulb is switched on.

How It Works

• Takes one LED bulb, E27 fitting, 6W maximum (bulb not included)
• Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb
• Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all fixings needed to hang it
• 1.5m of black fabric cable provided as standard, so the drop can be set to suit your ceiling
• Shade measures 510mm in diameter and 290mm in height, with a 120mm diameter ceiling rose

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Hockley's smooth nickel shade is plated and polished there using that same mix of traditional forging and modern finishing.
