A Dome Pendant With A Reflective Twist

The Harborne pendant has a classic curved dome shape, but its real character comes from the finish inside the shade. This one pairs a soft, matte blue exterior with a bright polished nickel interior, so it looks understated from the side and comes alive once the bulb is switched on.

Smooth Nickel, Upstream Blue

This version is cast in solid brass, then hand finished. The outside of the dome is coated in Upstream, a calm, river toned blue with a smooth matte texture. Turn the shade over and the inside is polished to a bright, mirror like nickel, which reflects and spreads the light rather than absorbing it. The contrast between the two finishes is the main feature of this particular Harborne.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Harborne's brass body and hand applied nickel and blue finish come from that same workshop, where lighting is made using the same techniques as the company's original hardware range.
