A Dome Pendant With a Twilight Finish
The Harborne pendant is a classic, rounded dome shade with a distinctive stepped gallery where the shade meets the cable. This version comes in Dusk, a deep, twilight toned blue grey that gives the shade a moody, tailored look rather than a purely industrial one.
The Smooth Nickel Finish
The outside of the dome is finished in that flat, matte Dusk colour, while the inside is smooth polished nickel. That reflective interior bounces the light back down and out, so the pendant reads as understated blue grey by day and throws a bright, even glow once it is switched on. The rolled edge at the rim is left in the same bright nickel, picking out the shape of the dome.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired, with a matching Dusk ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- 1.5m of black fabric cable comes as standard, running from rose to shade.
- Takes one LED bulb, 6W maximum, E27 fitting (bulb not included).
- Dimmable, as long as you fit a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- A single light fitting, sized for one pendant over one spot.
Where It Works Best
The Harborne Dusk suits kitchens, dining rooms, living rooms and hallways. Hang one centrally over a dining table for a focused pool of light, or line up two or three across a kitchen island for a bolder, repeated look. The dark blue grey tone works well against white or pale panelled walls, where it reads as a strong, deliberate accent rather than disappearing into the scheme.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Harborne pendant is shaped and finished at that same Welsh workshop, in a colourway designed to sit alongside the range's traditional metal finishes.
