A Factory Shape With a Softer Finish
The Frankley pendant borrows its silhouette from old factory lighting, a wide angled dome that throws light out and down. This version gives that classic shape a calmer feel, with a matte Slate grey exterior in place of raw metal, so it reads as contemporary rather than industrial.
Smooth Nickel and Slate Grey
The shade is spun from chrome and nickel, then finished in Slate, a soft mid grey with a matte texture. Inside, it keeps a bright polished nickel lining, so light bounces cleanly down and outward once a bulb is fitted. That contrast between the muted grey outside and the reflective nickel inside is what gives this pendant its character, understated from across the room, with a flash of shine underneath.

Where It Works Best
Hang the Frankley over a kitchen island or dining table so its wide dome directs light straight onto the surface below. It works just as well as a single drop in a hallway or living room, or with a dimmable bulb in a bedroom for softer evening light.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Steel is still hand forged and brass and copper hot forged using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, and the Frankley's nickel plated shade is finished at that same Welsh workshop.
