This version is spun from solid brass and plated in a smooth nickel finish, then painted in Tump, a soft, hillside toned green. The result is a fixture with real depth. The matte green exterior of the shade opens to reveal a bright nickel interior, throwing warm, reflected light rather than a flat glow. The double knuckle joint and wall rose stay in polished nickel, so the cooler metal tone runs through the fixture and grounds the green.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Steel is still hand forged and brass and copper hot forged using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, and lighting like this Flora wall light is produced at the same Welsh workshop, with its nickel plating and hand finished paintwork carried out by the same small team.
