A Softer Wall Light With a Two Tone Finish
The Flora wall light brings a relaxed, wave edged shape to a room, its rim dipping and curling rather than running in a strict straight line. In this version the shade, arm and wall rose are painted in Teasel, a soft off white with a warm cream cast, while the joints that connect them are left in a bright, smooth nickel.

The shade, arm and wall rose are painted in Teasel, a muted off white with a soft cream undertone. The two knuckle joints that connect them are finished in smooth nickel, and that same nickel shows again as a slim reflective rim running around the underside of the shade, so the paler Teasel tone on top gives way to a brighter metal edge underneath once the light is switched on.

Where It Works Best
Its soft, angled glow suits a hallway or kitchen where background light is wanted rather than a strong direct beam. Fitted either side of a bed it works well as a reading light in a bedroom, and a pair either side of a mirror or sideboard brings an even, gentle light to a living room or dining room.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of that range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this Flora wall light's contrast between its painted Teasel finish and nickel knuckle joints is put together there piece by piece.
