A Wave Edged Flora Wall Light
The Flora wall light carries the same soft, nature inspired curves as the rest of the range, on a single adjustable arm rather than hung from the ceiling. Its dish shaped shade has a gently rippled, wave edged rim, and the whole head tilts on a knuckle joint so the light can be angled up, down or across a wall after it's fitted.
Finished in Flock Matt White
This version is spun from smooth nickel, then coated on the outside in Flock, a chalky matt white that softens the metal's usual shine. The underside of the shade is left in polished nickel, so once the bulb is on, light bounces off that mirrored inner surface even though the outer face reads matte and pale.
How It Works
- Single wall light on an adjustable knuckle joint arm, so the shade angle can be set after fitting.
- Fixes to the wall through a round wall plate measuring 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
- Shade measures 217mm in diameter and 63mm high, projecting 224mm out from the wall.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E14 fitting, bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
Where It Works Best
Its adjustable head makes it useful either side of a bed as a reading light, or in a hallway where you want to angle the light along a wall rather than straight down. It also works well flanking a fireplace in a living room, above a run of kitchen worktop, or in pairs in a dining room where the wave edged shade can catch the light from different angles.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware that still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Flora wall light's nickel shade and Flock coating are applied at that same Welsh workshop, with the knuckle joint arm fitted and finished by hand rather than bought in as a generic part.

Can the Flora wall light be angled after it's fitted?
Yes. The shade sits on a knuckle joint arm, so its angle can be adjusted once the light is fixed to the wall.
Is the inside of the shade the same colour as the outside?
No. The Flock matt white coating only covers the outer face. The underside stays in polished, uncoated nickel.
