A wall light with a fluid, hand shaped curve
The Flora wall light takes its name from the soft, petal like flare of its shade. Instead of a straight cone, the metal ripples gently around the rim, catching the light differently from every angle. An adjustable arm carries the shade out from the wall on a jointed knuckle, so you can angle it exactly where you want it.
The Bluff finish
This version is finished in Bluff, a warm taupe grey with a soft, chalky matt surface on the shade and circular wall rose. Inside the shade and along the jointed arm, the metalwork is left in polished nickel and chrome, so light bounces off the reflective interior while the outer curve stays understated. The contrast between the flat grey exterior and the bright metal edge is what gives this piece its character.

- The arm pivots on a knuckle joint, so the shade can be angled up, down, or to the side
- Fixes to the wall via a round rose measuring 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep

- The shade itself measures 217mm in diameter and projects 224mm out from the wall
Where It Works Best
Its adjustable angle makes it a natural fit either side of a bed, where you can tilt it down for reading. It also works well along a hallway or staircase as a run of matching lights, or in a kitchen, living room, or dining room where you want a soft wash of light rather than a bright overhead glow.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting, and homeware. It still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, and lighting like this Flora wall light is made at that same Welsh workshop. The Bluff finish on this piece is a good example of how the workshop pairs its traditional metalworking with a more contemporary, muted colour palette.
