A Fluid, Sculptural Pendant in Upstream Blue
The Flora pendant takes its shape from the gentle fall of a flower petal, with a shade that ripples softly around its rim instead of sitting in a strict circle. This one is finished in Upstream, a deep river toned blue, giving it a striking, contemporary look while keeping the handmade character that runs through every From The Anvil piece.
Smooth Nickel and Upstream Blue
The shade is finished in a smooth nickel and chrome plating, with a warm, reflective underside that catches and bounces the light once the bulb is lit. The outer face carries the Upstream blue finish, a flat, confident colour that sits well against both painted walls and exposed brick or timber. The ceiling rose is finished to match in the same blue, so the fitting reads as one considered piece from ceiling to shade rather than a shade bolted onto a plain rose.

Where It Works Best
The Flora's wide, flared shade throws light generously in every direction, which makes it a good choice above a dining table or kitchen island where you want an even spread of light rather than one hot spot. From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting joined the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, still hand forged in steel and hot forged in brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Flora pendant carries that same hand finished approach, with its shade shaped, plated and coloured by hand before it ever reaches a ceiling.
