A Petal Shaped Pendant with a Twist of Nickel

The Flora pendant takes its shape from the curl of a flower petal, its edge folding and dipping around the shade rather than running in a single straight line. Hung on its own over a table or grouped along a run, it throws a soft pool of light down and a warm glow up through its open top, giving a room a lit fitting that still reads as sculpture when the bulb is off.

Slate and Smooth Nickel

This Flora is coated in a matte slate grey on the outside, a cool mid grey that sits quietly against most wall colours, while the inside of the shade is finished in a smooth, highly polished nickel. That contrast is the whole point of the design. Light striking the polished interior bounces and scatters before it reaches the room, so the pendant glows from within rather than throwing a single hard beam, and the nickel catches the eye every time you look up into the shade.

• Supplied on a black fabric cable with a matching slate grey ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.

Hang a single pendant low over a bedside table, centre one above a dining table, or space several along a hallway or over a kitchen island for a repeated, sculptural line of grey and nickel. From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, and this Flora pendant carries that same hand finished character in its slate and nickel shade.

Can this pendant be dimmed? Yes. Fit it with a compatible dimmable LED bulb and it will dim smoothly. A standard, non dimmable LED will not dim even on a dimmer switch.

What bulb does it take? It takes a single E27 LED bulb rated up to 6W maximum. The bulb is not included.

Is this pendant handmade, and can I return it? Yes. Every Flora pendant is made to order at From The Anvil's workshop in Wales, which means it cannot be returned once an order has been placed.
