A Pendant With A Ripple Of Movement

The Flora pendant curves and folds like fabric caught mid movement, its wide flared shade rippling gently around the rim instead of running in a plain straight line. It is a striking shape as a single drop and just as effective repeated in a row, where the wave along the edge multiplies and catches the light differently from every angle.

Pale Grey Birch Outside, Polished Nickel Within

This version is finished in Birch, a soft pale grey, on the outside of the shade. Turn it over and the underside is plated in smooth nickel, polished so it throws the light back in bright, faintly warm reflections rather than a flat glare. The fitting at the neck is a dark bronze tone and the flex is a black fabric cable, so the palette moves from soft grey to bright metal to black rather than staying one note.

Where It Works Best

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop. The Flora pendant's spun and hand folded shade carries that same handmade approach into a contemporary lighting shape.
