A Cluster That Makes an Impression
The Flora Cluster Pendant gathers five curved, petal shaped shades at staggered heights, turning a single ceiling point into a real centrepiece. Each shade catches the light a little differently as it hangs, so the fitting reads as sculptural from every angle rather than as a simple bank of lights.
Smooth Nickel and Soot
Every shade starts life as solid brass, hand spun into its flared, wavy edged shape before being plated in a smooth nickel finish. The exterior is then dressed in Soot, a dark charcoal grey, while the nickel is left exposed inside each shade. The result is a fitting with a matte, almost graphite exterior that opens to a bright, reflective interior when the lights are on, giving off a warm glow with a visible metallic edge.

- Five brass shades, each hand spun and finished individually, hung from black flex cable at staggered lengths from a single ceiling rose
- Ceiling rose measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep
- Each shade measures 217mm in diameter with a 63mm depth and a 224mm projection
- Takes 6W max LED E27 bulbs, not supplied, one per shade
- Dimmable if dimmable bulbs are fitted
Where It Works Best
The staggered drop and spread of shades suit a space with some height and room to breathe. It works well above a dining table, gathered low over a kitchen island, or grouped in a stairwell or hallway where the different heights can be seen from more than one angle. It also suits a living room or bedroom where a single statement fitting can carry the ambient lighting on its own.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, then a metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this cluster pendant is shaped and finished there by hand, one shade at a time.

- How many lights does this pendant have? This fitting clusters five individual shades on staggered cables, each one taking its own bulb.
- What bulb does it need? It takes a 6W max LED bulb with an E27 fitting, and bulbs are not included.
- Can I dim it? Yes, as long as it is fitted with dimmable LED bulbs and used with a compatible dimmer switch.
- What is the Soot finish? Soot is a dark charcoal grey finish over the nickel plated brass, so the outside of each shade is dark while the inside stays a reflective nickel.
