A Cluster of Flower Shaped Shades in Slate
The Flora cluster pendant gathers five to six petal shaped shades at staggered heights from a single ceiling rose, turning one fitting into a fuller, more sculptural light. Grouped together rather than hung alone, the shades read as one layered piece rather than a row of identical lights.
The Slate Finish
Each shade starts life spun from solid brass and plated in a smooth nickel finish, then finished by hand in Slate, a mid grey tone. The nickel base still shows through along the curved underside of each shade, so the cluster catches light differently depending on the angle, a cooler grey from outside and a warmer metallic glow from beneath when lit.
How It Works
- Five to six petal shaped brass shades, nickel plated and finished in Slate, hung on staggered drops from one ceiling rose.
- Each shade measures 217mm in diameter and 63mm high, with a 224mm projection from ceiling to shade.
- Ceiling rose measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
- Takes a 6W maximum LED bulb with an E27 fitting, bulb not included.
- No integrated LED, so bulbs can be replaced or swapped individually.
- Dimmable when fitted with compatible dimmable LED bulbs.

From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, and it's there that this cluster's nickel plated shades are hand finished in Slate one at a time.
