A Cluster of Hand Curved Petals
This Flora cluster pendant groups five hand curved, petal shaped shades onto one ceiling rose, each hung at a slightly different length so the whole fitting cascades rather than sitting in a flat line. The wavy, uneven edge of every shade gives it a hand made feel, and the open underside lets each bulb throw light out in a bright, sunburst pattern across the ceiling.
Smooth Nickel in Dusk
Each shade is finished in chrome and nickel, giving the inside a bright, mirror like surface that catches the light from the bulb below. The outer face is coated in Dusk, a dark blue grey that reads almost charcoal in a dim room and takes on a soft, cool blue tone in daylight.
How It Works
- Five shades hang from a single black ceiling rose measuring 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep
- Each shade measures 217mm in diameter and 63mm high, with a 224mm projection from the ceiling rose
- Wired for 6W maximum LED E27 bulbs, not supplied
- Dimmable, provided dimmable bulbs are fitted
- Cables are cloth covered in black, ready to wire in at the ceiling rose
Where It Works Best
The staggered heights make this a good fit for a dining room table or a kitchen island, where the cluster can spread out over a wide surface. It also suits a stairwell or a tall hallway, filling the extra height with light at different levels, and works equally well as a statement piece over a bed in a bedroom or as a focal point in a living room.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Dusk finished Flora cluster carries that same hand finished approach into a contemporary cluster pendant, made at the same Welsh workshop.
