A Cluster of Hand Shaped Petals
This Flora cluster pendant brings together five to six curved, petal shaped shades on a single ceiling rose, each one hung at a different length so the group settles into a loose, cascading shape rather than a flat row. The uneven, wavy edge of every shade gives it a handmade character, and the open underside lets each bulb throw light outward in a soft, spreading pattern rather than down in one beam.
Smooth Nickel in Birch
Each shade is spun from solid brass and plated in a smooth nickel finish on the inside, so the underside catches and reflects the bulb's light with a bright, silvery shine. The outer face is dressed in Birch, a soft pale grey that sits quietly against the shine beneath it, giving the cluster a calmer, more contemporary look than a plain metallic finish would.
How It Works
- Five to six shades hang from one ceiling rose, each at a staggered length for a layered look
- Every shade measures 217mm in diameter and 63mm high, with a 224mm projection from the ceiling rose
- The ceiling rose measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep
- Wired for 6W maximum LED E27 bulbs, not supplied
- Dimmable, provided dimmable bulbs are fitted
- Supplied with all cables and fixings needed to wire it in at the ceiling
Where It Works Best
The spread of staggered shades gives this cluster real presence over a dining table or kitchen island, where there's enough width for it to fan out properly. It also works well filling the height of a stairwell or hallway, and its pale, soft toned finish suits a bedroom or living room that's already working with lighter, muted colours.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This pale grey Birch finish is applied to the same hand spun brass shades at that Welsh workshop, one cluster at a time.
