This Brindley wall light brings an adjustable, directional design to a room, with an arm that swivels at two points so the light can be angled exactly where you need it. It works well on its own or as a bedside reading light thanks to that flexibility.
The Smooth Nickel and Upstream Blue Finish
The fitting is spun from solid brass, so the shade keeps its shape and weight over years of use. The dome shaped shade and circular wall rose are finished in a deep, muted blue called Upstream, while the knuckle joints, arm fittings and the inside of the shade are plated in smooth nickel. That nickel lining reflects the light forward and gives the blue exterior a crisp, contemporary edge.
How It Works
- Two brass knuckle joints, one at the wall rose and one where the arm meets the shade, let you swivel and angle the light after it's fixed to the wall.
- Takes a single 6W max LED E14 bulb (not included).
- Dimmable when fitted with dimmable LED bulbs.
- The shade measures 139mm in diameter and 124mm high, with a 224mm projection from the wall. The circular wall rose measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.

The adjustable arm makes this a practical choice for hallways and staircases, where a directional light helps with wayfinding, and for bedrooms as a reading light either side of a bed. From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop, and this Brindley wall light in Upstream blue carries that same hand finished brass through to a directional, room specific fitting.
