A Directional Wall Light With Character

The Brindley wall light is built to point exactly where you want the light to go. Its dome shade sits on a jointed brass arm that tilts and swivels, so one fitting can wash a wall, angle down onto a bed, or light a step on a staircase.

Smooth Nickel and Tump Green

This Brindley is finished in smooth nickel on the joints, rim and interior of the shade, giving crisp, reflective detail against the muted, sage toned green of the Tump powder coat on the shade, arm and wall plate. The contrast keeps the fitting looking considered rather than plain, and the polished nickel throat of the shade brightens the light as it is cast down.

How It Works

• Dome shade tilts and swivels on two adjustable nickel knuckle joints, so you can angle the beam up, down or to the side after fitting.
• Made from solid brass, plated in smooth nickel and finished in Tump green.
• Takes one 6W maximum LED E14 bulb, not supplied.
• Dimmable when used with dimmable LED bulbs.
• Lamp head measures 139mm in diameter and 124mm high, with a 224mm projection from the wall. The wall rose is 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
• Fixes to the wall using the wall plate provided.

Where It Works Best

Its adjustable head makes it useful anywhere you need directional light rather than a general glow: either side of a bed, along a hallway or staircase, or as reading light in a living room or dining room. It also works well in a kitchen, angled onto a worktop or breakfast bar.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Brindley wall light in this smooth nickel and Tump green finish is made there today, on the same brass forming and plating lines the company has used since it started making lighting.

• Wipe the nickel and painted surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can mark the plating and powder coat finish.
