The Brindley wall light is a directional fitting with a fully adjustable arm, so you can point the light exactly where you want it. This version pairs a soft, off white Teasel shade with smooth nickel fittings, giving a classic library style light a lighter, gentler look.

Smooth Nickel and Teasel Cream

The shade and backplate are cast in solid brass, then finished in Teasel, a warm off white cream rather than a stark white. The knuckle joint, wing screws, and the inner rim of the shade stay in polished smooth nickel, so when the light is on you get a bright, reflective flash from inside the shade against the softer cream outside. It is a two tone look, matte on the outside and mirror bright within.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later relocated to Llandrindod Wells, in Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting, and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop.

The Brindley's two tone nickel and Teasel cream finish carries that same hand finished approach through to a modern wall light, cast and finished piece by piece rather than produced in bulk.

Is the Brindley wall light dimmable?
Yes, as long as it is fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. The fitting supports dimming through a compatible dimmer switch, but the bulb itself needs to be rated for dimming.

What bulb does this light take?
It takes an E14 bulb rated up to 6W LED. No bulb is included, so one needs to be bought separately before fitting.

Can the shade be angled after it is fitted?
Yes. The shade sits on a knuckle joint that pivots, so the beam can be angled up, down, or to the side once the light is on the wall.
