From The Anvil Smooth Nickel Brindley Wall Light - Slate (Mid Grey)

The Brindley wall light has real presence. Its dome shade tilts and swivels on a pair of knuckle joints, so you can angle the light exactly where you want it, whether that is down onto a bedside table or up along a hallway wall.

Smooth Nickel and Slate

This version pairs a smooth nickel finish with a slate, mid grey painted shade. The nickel plating covers the swivel joints, the wall rose and the inside of the shade, where it throws a soft, reflective glow once the light is on. The shade itself is spun from solid brass, so the slate finish sits over solid metal rather than a lightweight shell, and the grey reads as a quiet contrast against the polished nickel details.

Where It Works Best

Its compact shade and adjustable head make it useful in tight spots, either side of a bed, along a hallway, or above a kitchen worktop. It works just as well in a dining room or living room, angled to wash light across a wall or down onto a surface below.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop.

The Brindley wall light carries that same hand finished approach, with its brass shade spun and nickel plated by hand before the slate paint finish is applied.

• Can I dim this light? Yes. The Brindley wall light is dimmable if you fit a dimmable LED bulb.
• What bulb does it take? It takes one E14 bulb, 6W LED maximum. The bulb is not included.
