A Directional Wall Light With Character
This Brindley wall light has the look of a studio task lamp brought indoors. A jointed arm carries a dome shade that swings and tilts, so you can point the light exactly where you need it rather than settling for wherever it happens to hang.
Smooth Nickel and Matt White Flock Finish
This version is cast from solid brass, plated in a smooth nickel finish, then dressed in a chalky matt white paint called Flock. The nickel stays exposed at the rim of the shade and at the knuckle joints, so the polished metal catches the light against the soft, matte white body.
How It Works
- Two adjustable knuckle joints let the shade be angled up, down or to the side once it is fixed to the wall.
- Wall mounted using a wall rose that measures 105mm in diameter.
- Lamp head measures 139mm in diameter and 124mm in height, projecting 224mm out from the wall.
- Takes one 6W maximum LED bulb with an E14 fitting (not supplied).
- Dimmable if dimmable bulbs are used.
Where It Works Best
The adjustable head makes this a natural fit for reading in bed, so it works well either side of a bedstead. It suits hallways and staircases where a bit of directional light helps you see the steps, and its clean, pared back shape sits just as comfortably in a kitchen, dining room or living room.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Brindley wall light carries that same hands on approach, its brass base hand finished before the Flock coating is applied.
