A Wall Light With Its Own Personality
The Brindley wall light has a fully adjustable arm, so you can tilt and swivel the shade to send light exactly where you want it. Two chunky wing nut joints hold the angle you choose, giving the fitting an industrial, workshop feel that still looks sharp on a smart wall.
Nickel and Elan Black
This version pairs a deep matt Elan Black shade with polished nickel joints, rose and interior rim. The shade itself is spun from solid brass, so the black powder coat sits over a properly weighted body rather than a lightweight shell. When the light is on, the nickel lining throws a warm highlight around the inside of the shade, catching the eye against the black exterior.

Where It Works Best
Its adjustable head makes the Brindley a natural fit either side of a bed, where you can angle it away from a sleeping partner or straight down onto a book. It also works well in a hallway or kitchen where a directional accent is useful, or as a pair either side of a dining room mirror or console.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Steel is still hand forged and brass and copper still hot forged using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, and this Brindley wall light is made at that same Welsh workshop.

- Can I angle the Brindley wall light after it's fitted? Yes. The arm has two wing nut joints, one at the wall rose and one at the shade, so you can swivel and tilt it to direct the light where you need it.
- What bulb does it take? It takes one LED E14 bulb rated at 6W maximum. A bulb is not included.
- Is it dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable LED bulb and use it with a compatible dimmer switch.
- Is this light handmade? Yes. It's made to order at From The Anvil's workshop in Mid Wales, with a solid brass body finished in matt Elan Black and polished nickel.
