An Adjustable Wall Light in Dusk
The Brindley wall light is a hand spun brass fitting on a jointed arm, built to swivel so the beam can be aimed exactly where it's needed rather than fixed straight ahead. This version is plated in smooth nickel and dressed in Dusk, a deep, twilight toned blue grey that gives the shade a cool, contemporary edge against the bright nickel joints and rim.

The shade is spun from solid brass, then plated in a smooth nickel finish before the exterior is hand finished in Dusk. The nickel stays visible at the rim and along the adjustable arm, so the flat, matte blue grey of the shade sits against bright, polished metal rather than disappearing into it.
How It Works
- Wall mounted fitting on an adjustable knuckle joint, so the shade can be angled up, down or across the wall.
- Shade measures 139mm in diameter and 124mm high, with a projection of 224mm out from the wall.
- Wall plate measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
- Supplied fully wired, with the wall plate and all fixings needed for a qualified electrician to install it.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E14 fitting, bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
Where It Works Best
Because the head swivels, this Brindley suits spots where the light needs to be pointed rather than left to spread evenly, either side of a bed for reading, along a hallway, or over a dining table or kitchen worktop. It works just as well as a single fitting in a living room, angled toward a favourite chair or piece of artwork.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Brindley wall light is one of those lighting pieces, spun from brass and nickel plated at that same Welsh workshop before its Dusk finish is applied by hand.
