A Bold Blue Dome With a Bright Nickel Interior
The Brindley pendant brings a shot of colour to a classic factory style shade. Spun from solid brass, it pairs a smooth nickel interior with a striking blue exterior, so it reads as a sculptural piece by day and glows with a warm nickel light once switched on.
The Upstream Finish
This particular Brindley wears the Upstream finish, a deep, river toned blue with a soft matte texture on the outside of the shade. Turn it over and the inside is polished nickel, spun to a bright, reflective finish that throws light back down into the room. The contrast between the two finishes is the whole point of this design.
How It Works
- Single pendant light with a spun brass shade, 260mm in diameter and 270mm tall.
- Supplied with a matching ceiling rose, 120mm in diameter.
- Comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable as standard, plus all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Takes one LED only E27 bulb, 6W maximum, bulb not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
Where It Works Best
Because it can be hung at different drop heights, this pendant works well grouped in twos or threes over a kitchen island, or hung alone over a dining table. The blue finish also suits a hallway or living room, anywhere you want one striking pendant rather than a row of lights.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. This Brindley pendant carries that same hand finished approach, with its brass shade spun and plated by hand before the Upstream blue is applied.
