The Brindley pendant takes a classic dome shaped shade and gives it a soft, off white finish with a bright, reflective interior. Smooth Nickel Base, Teasel Off White Finish

This particular Brindley is spun from solid brass, then finished in two parts. The outer shade is painted a gentle, parchment toned Teasel off white, giving it a soft, almost chalky look that sits well against most wall colours. Inside, the shade keeps its natural polished nickel, so once a bulb is fitted you get a bright, silvery reflection carrying the light down and out. The ceiling rose is finished to match, in the same Teasel off white, with a dark, aged metal grip where it meets the black fabric cable.

Where It Works Best

Because the drop height can be adjusted, this Brindley works well grouped in twos or threes above a kitchen island, or hung on its own over a dining table. From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys, where it grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later on, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this Brindley pendant, spun from solid brass and finished by hand, carries that same craft through into a modern fitting.
