The Brindley is a classic bell shaped pendant, spun from solid brass and finished in Soot, a dark grey that gives it a quiet, contemporary edge. Inside the shade, a bright nickel plating throws the light back down and out, so the pendant reads as understated from the outside and gives a warm, focused glow once it is switched on.

A Dark Grey Soot Finish With a Bright Nickel Interior

Soot is a matte, dark grey powder coat that sits closer to charcoal than black, and it wears well against both pale and dark kitchen cabinetry. The exterior stays deliberately plain so the nickel interior can do the work, catching and reflecting light every time the pendant is switched on.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting, including this Brindley pendant, is produced at the same Welsh workshop, still hand forged and hot forged using traditional methods alongside modern engineering.
