The Brindley pendant takes its cue from old factory lighting, with a deep dome shade that throws light downward and glows warm along its polished rim. Every shade starts as solid brass, spun and hand finished at From The Anvil's own workshop, so each one carries small marks of the making process.

Heath: A Muted Earthy Green Over Bright Nickel

This version pairs a matte Heath green exterior, an earthy tone somewhere between olive and moss, with a smooth nickel plated interior. The contrast is deliberate. Outside, the painted green sits flat and calm. Inside, the nickel catches and bounces the light, so the shade glows brightly even though its outer face stays understated.

Where It Works Best

Hang it low over a dining table for focused, warm light at the table itself, or run two or three along a kitchen island at slightly different drop heights for a relaxed, collected look. It also earns its place in a living room reading corner or a hallway, anywhere a single strong pool of light does the job better than an even wash across the ceiling.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of that range later on, made at the same Welsh workshop, and this Brindley pendant carries the same solid brass base and hand finished character as the ironmongery the company built its name on.
