A Brindley Pendant with a Sharper Edge
The Brindley is one of From The Anvil's classic dome pendants, spun from solid brass and shaped for a clean, confident silhouette. This version pairs a polished nickel interior with a deep matte black exterior, giving the familiar shape a sharper, more contemporary edge. It works equally well on its own or grouped with others of the same family.
Polished Nickel and Elan Black
The dome is spun from solid brass, then plated in smooth nickel and finished on the outside in a deep, matt Elan Black. The nickel is left exposed inside the shade, where it catches and bounces the light back down, while the black exterior keeps the outward look understated. Expect a slightly textured matt surface on the outside and a bright, reflective one within, a deliberate contrast rather than a single uniform tone.

- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose, 1.5m of black fabric cable, and all the fixings needed to install it.

Where It Works Best
The Brindley suits kitchens, dining rooms, living rooms and hallways. Hang two or three at different drop heights above a kitchen island for a run of light with visual rhythm, or use a single pendant centred over a dining table. In a hallway, one on its own makes a strong, simple statement without crowding the space.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting became part of the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop using the same hand forged steel and hot forged brass and copper, alongside modern engineering. This Brindley pendant, with its brass dome and hand applied nickel and black finish, is a direct product of that workshop.
